What does Women's History Month mean to you?

Women’s History Month is a unique opportunity to highlight the vital contributions of women in the development of modern society. The role of women in American History is often overlooked and during this month we can focus on the vast role of women in creating a more equitable and technologically advanced America. Coming off the heels of Black History month, we must also emphasize the enormous contributions of women of color who, often facing dual discrimination, endeavored to contribute significantly across every area of society. From Rosa Parks to Katherine Johnson, the role throughout history of women who strived to make America a more equitable and inclusive place for all should be celebrated. Leaders in the fight for justice and those who contributed significantly in their respective fields should be highlighted at every opportunity.
