Anthony's Bio:

Anthony is native of Baton Rouge, La. and a Spring 2012 graduate of THE Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. After graduating from Southern, he began my career as an Electrical Power Engineer with the Department of Defense (DoD) – Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in the Washington, D.C. area. Within his current role as a System Security Engineer, he is responsible for applying systems engineering and program management processes to manage and provide technical oversight of engineering activities in technology protection and cybersecurity.


For the past three years, he has volunteered in Washington D.C. as an instructor/advisor for the Robotics Program at the Washington Tennis and Education Foundation (WTEF). The goal of the Robotics Program is to improve student learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and to inspire students to consider careers in the STEM fields. As an instructor/advisor, he works with students ranging from elementary to high school to teach the principles of robotics and prepare them for VEX IQ competitions which occur across the Washington D.C./Maryland/Virginia area.


Anthony is an active member of the Southern University Alumni Federation-Washington D.C. Chapter. He currently serve as the Co-Chair of SUYAN-Washington D.C. and has assisted in the coordination of multiple community service events within the chapter.
