To be a Southernite means that you are a part of an elite legacy of women and men who are change makers and trailblazers across the world. It means that you can compete against anyone from anywhere; because, not only did you receive a quality education but were taught life skills that you will carry forever.


Tori's Bio:

Antoria “Tori” Simms is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a 2004 graduate of Baton Rouge Magnet High School. Tori earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a concentration in Sales from Southern University and A&M College in 2008.


Currently, she is an Account Executive at LinkedIn selling marketing and advertising solutions to Economic Development Organizations, Trade & Advocacy Associations, and Non-Profits. In the spring of 2019, Tori received the “Results Award” for achieving the highest quota attainment amongst her peers.


In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities as an Account Executive, Tori is a participant in LinkedIn’s LEAD Invest Program, a leadership development program for high performing and high potential Black and LatinX talent, and serves as the Washington, DC Office Lead for the Black Inclusion Group, LinkedIn’s Black Employee Resource Group.


Prior to joining LinkedIn in 2018, Tori held several business development roles at organizations such as AT&T, Sprint, and The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. With over 10 years of experience in consultative sales and client relations, she has closed numerous complex business deals and managed small, mid-sized, and large enterprise accounts.


Tori is the current President of the Southern University Alumni Federation-Washington, DC Chapter, Founding Contributor of the Washington, DC Chapter’s Endowed Scholarship, member of the Southern University College of Business Advisory Council, and former Vice-Chair of Fundraising for the Southern University Young Alumni Network. Further, she is a graduate of Leadership Arlington’s Center of Excellence (Arlington, VA).


Tori currently resides in Washington, DC. She is an avid reader; loves to travel; and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
