It means taking a moment to reflect on the contributions women have made across the world. It means taking time to highlight the value women bring across a variety of sectors of life. It means evaluating your personal beliefs about equality and pivoting where necessary.


About Jelinda


Jelinda Gibson-Allen is an electrical engineer with over 20 years of industrial experience. She is currently a Senior Operations Leader at Dow, Inc. in the Polyethylene business. She is the Sponsor for the Sustainability Team at her work site, sits on the Board of Directors for Baton Rouge Green, and is an environmental committee member with the Louisiana Chemical Association. Jelinda also serves as a mentor to many. She holds a BS in electrical engineering from Southern University and A&M College, along with an MBA and a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of New Orleans.


Jelinda has had previous roles in both maintenance and reliability at Dow, Entergy, and ExxonMobil. She has a true passion for success, people development, leadership, and problem-solving, which is what fuels her daily grind.


In addition to her career at Dow, Jelinda is the owner and chief artistic director of Studio G Dance & Gymnastics Company, which teaches youth and young adults in the Greater New Orleans Area the fundamental principles of dance and gymnastics while instilling the value of hard work, dedication, self-confidence, team building, and empathy. Pre-pandemic, the students participated in a variety community events, as well as competed both regionally and nationally.
