What does Women's History Month mean to you?
I am here because of so many women who quietly and loudly blazed trails before me. I have a responsibility to do the same both to honor their legacy, and continue to blaze trails, open doors, and shatter ceilings for the women who follow.
Lisa Williams is a Procurement Director at Dow, Inc. She has a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and a Master's of Supply Chain Management from the Pennsylvania State University. She is also a Six Sigma Black Belt and APICS Supply Chain certified professional. She resides in Texas with her husband, son, and extended family.
Lisa joined Dow 22 years ago with a career since spanning engineering, supply chain, technology, and procurement. Lisa has also served as co-chair of the Global African Affinity Network in Dow for 5 years and helped globalize that organization to all 4 regions. Her leadership philosophy centers in empathetic engagement and servant leadership to help individuals, leaders, teams, and organizations focus, activate, and elevate their value and impact. Her passion fires in helping people identify and access their greatest, highest potential and making it reality.
Lisa's mantra is that she is blessed with spiritual strength, a beautiful family, a "village" of strong sisters and mentors, calm in the midst of confusion, courage in the midst of challenge, creativity balanced with practicality, and a wonderful network in which to share and receive our gifts.
