PACKAGE YOUR PASSION

Updated: Jul 8, 2022

Gallup reported that 66% of U.S. professionals are not engaged in their work, along with 16.5% who were "actively disengaged".

One of the most common reasons that professionals aren't fully engaged is that they don't love what they are doing. Either they wound up in a job that doesn't match what they really want to do, think that they aren't doing the type of work they do best, or no longer find their work mentally stimulating or interesting.

High-Engagement Matters

Organizations and teams with higher engagement and lower active disengagement perform at higher levels. For example, organizations that are the best in engagement achieve earnings-per-share growth that is more than four times that of their competitors. Compared with business units in the bottom quartile, those in the top quartile of engagement realize substantially better customer engagement, higher productivity, better retention, fewer accidents, and 21% higher profitability. Engaged workers also report better health outcomes.

What's the Solution?

Over the last ten years and over the course of five different jobs, I have refined an improvement strategy that has generated over $150 million of value. I call this methodology Package Your Passion (PYP), and it has empowered me to operate in my "Sweet Spot". I have passions, interests, expertise, and skills that align well to some of industry's most challenging opportunities and I have leveraged those experiences to package my own passion.

The PYP model is quite intense however I have broken it down to a simple, yet powerful #hack. The focus is primarily for the manufacturing industry but many of the steps can be applied to other business sectors. ENJOY!
