Legacy, a lineage of Southernites that have paved the way for me and the next generation to follow. Pride, It’s an honor to be a graduate of this great institution and part of a network of alumni. Rachelle's Bio:
Rachelle D. Wicker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and Owner and CEO of Anchored Hope Consulting, LLC. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Southern University in December of 2003. She also earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Health Care from the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work in May of 2005.
For more than 14 years, she has provided services to individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health and those in the Forensic and Gerontology populations. She has served as QMRP Team Leader, ICF-MR Interim Service Director and Social Services Coordinator during her time with the State of Georgia. Rachelle holds certifications in School Social Work, Adaptive Testing and Mental Health First Aid. She serves on the Disaster Mental Health Team while being a Pillowcase Project Facilitator with the Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross.
She is very passionate about advancing the mission of Southern University and the Alumni Federation. Rachelle has made a commitment to serve her alma mater and local chapter. She secures philanthropic funds for the Baton Rouge campus and Social Work Department as a Team Captain for the Southern University System True Blue Million Dollar March. She serves as an Advisory Board member for the Jaguar Foundation of Atlanta. She is a life member of the Southern University Alumni Federation and serves as President of the Southern University Alumni Federation Atlanta Chapter
Rachelle is a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Atlanta, Georgia. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, eating good food, and spending time with her son and her family.
